Patterns of Power: Indigenous Art Show Opening Reception

  • Maya Moon Collective 3349 Adams Avenue San Diego, CA, 92116 United States (map)

Be the first to view this exhibit of unique art from Central and South America. Opening night will include a projection light show for a truly transporting visual experience!

This rare collection includes vibrant woven kene song cloths, of the Shipibo Conibo of Peru’s Ucayali River basin, handmade gamas from Kogi of northern Colombia, and the intricate art the Wixáritari (Huichol) of Mexico.

Each piece is alive with prayer and meaning, carrying the spiritual traditions and practices of its people.

All of these communities are partners of the Center for Shamanic Education & Exchange, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting Indigenous spiritual traditions. Artworks are available for purchase with proceeds supporting Indigenous lead projects in these communities.

The exhibit will be up through February.

This is a free event. Please RSVP! Maya Moon will be open during the event for cacao and dessert service. See you here!
